Any NuBall rejuvenator users?
« on: September 10, 2016, 11:34:00 PM »
For $180 I think I might get one. But I'd like to here some reviews for those who use it and how long have you owned it?
Does a round object have sides? I say yes, pizza has triangles..

Under Misc. section look for all the recent posts under "De-oiling a Ball".
It will save all of us NuBall owners from having to post again in answer to your question.  Hope this helps.

Since it first came out; I was one of the first to test it.
I've done about 10 - 12 of my own balls and hardly got anything out of any of them. I learned later that that was probably because of my cleaning regimen: I clean every ball at the alleys before putting my balls back in the bag. I clean them at home every 15 - 25 games with Clean and Dull.

I've also cleaned may friend's and teammates balls and every time some to a lot of oil has come out of them.

I don't sand them dull before doing the extraction unless the friend asks me to resurface or refresh the surface of his ball. The oil still comes out. Sometimes it pools in the cup; sometimes it just lays on the ball until I wipe it off.

I use 125/130 degrees on Storm-made and Brunswick-made balls. I'll use 140 on most other brands. (The temp gauge is accurate usually within 2-3 degrees.) I usually do each ball for an hour first; if oil comes out, I'll clean it and put it back in for another hour. When it stops producing oil, I stop. I wipe the wet ball with a good paper towel like Bounty; then I'll clean it with LMB International cleaner and a microfiber towel. Then I put it back in for the next hour.

Interesting, a friend did two of his equipment with the NuBall belonging to his cousins and barely anything to no oil was seen. But they did his cousins ball and the ball bled and took 3 cycles to get done.

Just like you charlest, I too maintain my equipment regularly. I never really notice reduced performance on any of them. But, last season I've gotten lazy and this time I'm afraid on the the balls used regularly just lost a little bit of steam.

Thank you for sharing sir!

I just did my Storm Ride and a lot of oil came out. Wiped it down after an hour, then left it in another 30 minutes, and it was done. Had a small puddle in the catch at the bottom too.

Did a Rack Attack grape right after and it was almost bone dry.

Yeah I got the Nuball too.  Once I got it I was going to stop cleaning them after every use, but the pro shop guy said I should still do that too.  Of course he just wants to sell me more cleaner.   I see only maybe one other person cleaning their ball right after use, which is when you should do it.

Consequently I get very little oil when I use the Nuball; maybe a drop or two in the cup, although the ball is covered with it.

I think I might go ahead and just use the Nuball, the cleaner is getting expensive, and getting it on my hands so much probably is not good for my health.

My experience is pretty much same as Charlest and I think I am a pretty early user getting mine several years ago direct from maker after advice from Charlest. I wipe ball thoroughly with microfiber towel every shot and clean at home after every session with Clean & Dull. A friend who cannot get into the habit of wiping his ball after shots deoils quite frequently with his Nuball
