I have read some posts about people using this every so many games, but I  was wondering, is it ok to use it after each set to clean the ball?

I will some times use an old abralon pad with clean n dull, lightly on the spinner, especially if I intend to freshen up the surface of the ball. Then, spray water on and wipe ball with clean cloth until it stops picking up dirt/oil. Works great, but you have to use common sense and not overdue it.

Just this Mondya I had a customer bring in his ball where he left a bottle of clean and dull in his bag. The bottle broke at one of the corners and leaked C-n-D on his ball. We dont know how long it sat there because it was over a week before he used the ball last. But the C-n-D sitting on the cover for a prolonged period of time seriously softend the cover. There is a spot where you could see the trail were it ran down the ball and made it so soft that you could scrape part of the cover off with your finger nail.

OMGoodness,  this isn't rocket science...

Just use Powerwash,  It's the liquid form of Clean & Dull and it's easier to use...

I tend to agree about the powerwash. I get better results with alcohol and simple green. But, I have not found anything better than clean n dull for deep cleaning and removing scuff marks.

Clean and dull is a liquid in gel form...  Powerwash is clean and dull in a liquid spray form.

For most, using clean and dull may be harder, because they may not be getting all the residue off the ball, thus leaving the ball with more of a film on it..

Powerwash is much easier to use and seldom will leave any residue.

Not saying this or any product is the best...

Ask a million people what is the best cleaner, and you will get a million different replies...

Main thing....

Clean the ball!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes there are products you can buy at any dollar store that will work, such as Awesome...

Main thing....

clean the ball

Well I did a simple comparison of Power Wash and Clean''N Dull.
You can see the results here

I used my striking motion because its a solid color,I cleaned it and gave it fresh sand with a piece of 800 grit paper.

I made two shots on the fresh oil at the start of league and then threw it back into the bag. I cleaned it when I got on the spinner following the bottle spinner directions.

You''ll see in the middle part of the photo the uncleaned ball surface.
The left is the Power wash side (I sprayed it on generously), On the right Clean''N Dull ( I used about a nickel size drop of C&D).

Power wash did a great job cleaning the ball surface, it left a nice tacky feel.
It''s a lot better than Energizer cleaner, Kegel Revive, Reacta Clean. I''d have no problem recommending it.
But as you can see in the pic.it didn''t penetrate deep into the pores. It left oil lines in the cover.

But on the Clean''N Dull side you can see. Not only did it clean the surface, It penetrated into the pores and removed the soaked in oil lines.

Power Wash is a good cleaner to have in your bag, to clean up after a set. But it''s not Clean''N Dull. Clean''N Dull is a deep cleaner.

You could make a nice combo with the two. Use power wash to clean up after a set, then use Clean''N Dull to deep clean your ball once every so many games depending on how much you bowl.

Also I tried to get the "Glazing Effect" some have talked about. I put C&D on a the towel, rubbed it on the ball and started the spinner. I then leaned into it, till my hand got way too hot.

I stopped and looked at the ball, it was just fine no glaze. The only thing I could think of was, if someone used way too much or their towel/cleaning pad was dirty etc. maybe that might have caused it.

Used like the direction say , theres no problem using it on a spinner.
