Ebonite Excel
« on: January 19, 2005, 12:02:40 PM »
I am posting this in this column because it seems hardley anyone ever reads or posts in the Ebonite column.

I would like peoples opinions on the Excel. The specs look good for my style, but I know nothing about this ball. Can anyone help here?

I ordered the pearl and the particle came instead, so I got it. I have used it only once on medium oil. I couldn't throw it hard enough. Kept coming in high in pocket.  But, I think with a little more oil I'll be O.K.  Usually, I don't get along well with particle because of my slow ball speed(about 12 at the pins), but this didn't seem to be rolling out so I think someone with a little more speed or me with a little more oil should do great.  Two days later the pearl came.  I'm still fussing with it. I read in BTM that it was for light or med-light oil so I had it drilled stacked. Today was first day I used it and it seemed kind of over/under, but I'm not that good of a bowler so I don't know it was me or the drill or the lanes. Not many people bowled well today. It sure is pretty going down the lanes though.
