Since the Stock Pitch Black has a 1000 grit FEPA finish, the only Scotch-Brite in normal use that is rougher than that is the Maroon or burgundy colored one which is 360 grit (both FEPA and CAMI grade). The next smoother SB pad is the green one which is 600 grit CAMI grade or 1200 grit FEPA grade; so it would smoother out the Pitch Black making it go longer not earlier,
BUT do you really want a 360 grit urethane ball??? Seems like there are a lot of alternatives, better suited to that amount of oil. Besides think how much damage such a ball would do to the lanes.
