My son is in his 3rd season of bowling & is 8. He has been using a plastic ball in 8 lbs & has grown out of it. He has a natural lift & this ball actually make a decent move for him. I am considering getting him into a more agressive coverstock but it would have to be in 10 lbs. Any recommendations in this weight class?

Go with one of Columbias Scouts. I had one when I was younger and it worked great.

Your only real choices are the entry-level Power Grooves, Scouts, Tropicals. At that point, one's just as good as another, though I believe the Reactor cover on the Tropicals is stronger than the PK17 on the Grooves. Let him pick the colors (and scents) he likes best, there really isn't much else to differentiate them. They're high-RG, lower-diff polished pearls with puck-style cores. Matching up is not exactly critical at that point.

I would go with the Storm Tropical Storm. Great ball at a great price
