Cool video. Never seen anyone make an all messenger compilation like that it was really cool to watch. Just wanted to share something also if you don't mind.  You do know that every one of those balls you threw were all weak 10's with a messenger? They may look cool and all but its also a huge bit of information on how your ball is going through the pins. Look at the 6 pin on every single one of those shots. I mean yes they are strikes but its also telling your that your ball is not doing the right thing and something has to change.

Messengers.  Yes.  Epic.  No.

Based on definition alone, there's nothing "impressively great" about the messenger pins.

Just saying.  :)

I use whatever ball works for me.

You will develop serious hand, wrist, and elbow problems if you continue to whip the ball like that for a large number of games for a large number of years. You could also develop knee problems stopping and planting the way you do, but thats harder to change.

You've got the tools for a great physical game, you just need to tone it down a bit so that your body will last. Concentrate on hitting targets on challenging conditions and learning to make your ball read the lane in a way that lets you use the pocket better than you see in that youtube video.

The Two biggest misconceptions in bowling about the way a ball hits the pins are that messengers taking out the 10 and solid nines are signs of power. They are really signs that you're using the wrong part of the pocket or a bad angle.

Thanks for posting the video, very entertaining, but that music is horrible! (IMHO)

I know it sounds like I'm in denial, but I'm not.

Sorry guff, I knew that it was a video compilation, but some of that music is hard for me to listen to. Don't remember which shots, bit it was that "growling/screaming" thing that is supposed to resemble singing.  I'm just an older guy.

I know it sounds like I'm in denial, but I'm not.

Even if I brought a video camera with me every time I went bowling for an entire season, I think my messenger compilation would only be about 10 seconds long.

I have to agree with some of the other posters here. Nice vid, nothing epic about it.

And take a minute to think about this.....what if those messengers missed? Every one of those shots would have been a weak 10. You got lucky that you were able to carry those, luck doesn't always last. I would rather have less messengers and leave less weak 10 pins personally.

I have been lucky enough to witness only a small number of "epic" messengers. One was from Tim Mack when I bowled with him in college. He had one that went back and forth across the lane 3 times....came from left to right, took out the 10 pin bounced back across the lane and then came back to land in the right channel as the sweep was coming back. That was epic.

My messenger video would be quite short, but my ten back video would last a while.

Nice video man, i think people just need to realize this is a fun video.

I'm sure hes not going for messengers and on shots that were just a little off and they happen why not take full advantage of them and run with them? Its easy to critique the little you see of a person, but you can't always judge someone by a few clips.

Yeah, they may be flat hits, but messengers like that should be welcomed by anyones game.  Sure, it's not the right entry angle, but to get a messenger to do that, you can't have premium entry angle.  Isn't that the whole point of the video.

Maybe his next video should be EPIC 10-in the pit strikes.  That would be a really fun video to watch!?!?!?

Don't overthink the point of the video.  It's HIS MOST EPIC Messengers.  Not YOURS.  Or Tim Mack's, which are no doubt EPIC as well.

Are we really ragging on this kid about his inability to have the correct entry angle every shot? First off, welcome to the world of resin and boucey sideboards. Who doesn't like sending a couple of messengers every now and then? I know when I send my 2 a year, I let everyone know that I just flung some wood around.

Now, if this video was called "Epic Brooklyn compilation", I wouldn't be as impressed. :p
