wth..."theoretical sport book average" for USBC book average.
« on: September 05, 2008, 08:53:22 AM »
Someone in our league meeting has only a sport book average so wanted to know if it was ok to convert the average to some chart that USBC uses to give him a starting average.
Have you ever heard of anything so ridiculous? The manager's reasoning doing the rules is "sport condition is harder". I have met people that average a little more on sport shots and PBA X shots then league. Believe it or not, there are some tough league shots out there to some people.
I almost laughed when I heard that. It was one bowler and we voted for him to set average for the night.

It's always done, in any league I've been in.
Your average goes up, you get less handicap...
If you average 180 on Sport, your entering average in tournaments and leagues is 201.

Why wouldn't you want the bowler to come in higher?

Those are the rules. I have a problem with leagues that bowl on sport shots and don't certify. Those averages are bogus. This is why I don't bowl handicap tourneys anymore.
