It's on at 11:00 Central, 12:00 Eastern.  What's so tough about a one-hour time zone conversion, sheesh!

The 2001 Peoria Open was the first show of the "new" PBA, after the PBA was bought by the Microsofties. They hired a well-regarded blues singer named Koko Taylor to sing the national anthem, live, at the beginning of the show.

For whatever reason (some people thought she was drunk or high on something), Ms. Taylor proceeded to forget the words to the song, and otherwise butcher the national anthem.  The PBA later apologized for the fiasco.

This was also the first week that the PBA used an oil pattern approximating an ABC sport-compliant shot.  The scores were so low, and the matches so boring (to most, at least), that the PBA dumped sport shots after only three weeks, and went with a higher-scoring shot.

Enter PDW and the crotch chops, and the rest is history, as they say.

There was a reason I put CST in the title...

others already noted that time zone conversions are not that difficult...certainly I hope they still teach in school that CST would signify times in the Central time zone.

Thanks Glen.  Guess it would have helped to read the heading of the post.  Oh well, just another senior moment which I have all too frequently.  Unfortunately, I am too cheap to get ESPN Classic.

I think I get it as either part of the digi-pak stuff or else it is part of the upgrade that got me SpeedVision...all I know is that I have something like five different ESPN channels and I lost track of how many Fox channels.

And remember...better to have senior moments than to not be having any moments at all
