1/2hp vs 1/3hp spinner?
« on: March 19, 2011, 09:26:06 AM »
Finally going to order a spinner in the next few days. Any real differences between the 1/2 and 1/3 hp spinners for home use? neither has a 2 speed selection (vertex or innovative). I realize the cost difference is minimal ( about $20.00) so may just go with the 1/2hp.

Also, where is the best place to get supplies such as abralon, sair, etc?  Thanks

I just purchased the 1/2 hp from Innovative...Very well built, I've only done cleanings and 1 resurface so far but it has been excellent. I just used the included sand papers and scotchbrite pads on the resurface. I did order Abralon pads from an Ebay seller. It was 20 pads of your choice for about 55 bucks shipping included..a good deal. They are the same ones at our proshop Mirka Brand...

I have the Vertex 1/3 HP because at the time it came with a foot pedal not sure if they still do or not (lazyness kind of kicked in). It has been very good for the past 3-4 years for me.

Pads I got from SuperGrit.com I haven't found cheaper yet and QUICK shipping!

Polishes and such from different online sites....Look for coupons which could save you a few bucks. I think at the time I got mine bowling.com had buy one Quart get second one half off?

If you have any questions let me know I kept a spreadsheet im sure i could dig up with prices of everything and where I got it from.
