Ever have this happen?
« on: April 25, 2004, 07:26:46 AM »
I went to state tournament this weekend.  Bowled teams on sat. with mixed results.  Went back today to bowl singles and doubles.  After our practice, shot the first frame.  Got up for the 2nd and motioned an ajoining lane to go first and that is when this happens.  Major back spasams!  So bad that I doubled over in pain!  After a minute I finally regained my compousure and shot that frame.  Ended up shooting the rest of the tourmanemt in pain, but I survived.  I have no idea why it happened, but I shot my best series of the tournament the first 3 games (471).  The team was 403 and doubles was 419.  I think it actually helped me cause I stayed low on each shot due to having to bend over to reduce the pain.

I SURVIVED!!!!

i actually had to WD from a singles scratch tourney a few years ago while leading because i sprained my neck while bowling. Dont ask me how. I threw a shot, and my neck went POP, and that was it. I was in a neck brace for a week.

I leaned over one night to pick up my ball. With an audible CRACK my back went out. My teammate, who was standing on the other lane, heard it.
Ouch.

I've done it before too.  The last practice shot I threw one day, and my lower back completely went out.  I could hardly walk out of the center...or at all for the next several days.  But once it healed I went back to bowling and havent felt it since.

In the 70's, I had my forearm cramp up and close my hand tight. I had to pry it open before every shot to put my hand in the ball for 2 games of a  game qualifier. Never happened before, never happened since.

I had the same problem(sounds the same, anyway)as you described.  My chiropractor fixed me right up.
