Everyone be very thankful for what you have.
« on: November 24, 2004, 10:06:05 PM »
I am just posting this to remind everyone how in that reads this board how lucky they are. A friend of my famaly's named Jay is 24 and is in Bagdad right now and got injured by a road side bomb, it took both of his legs off from above the knee. He is in stable enough condition to be sent to Germany were they are going to proform surgery on him. His first words after coming to were "How are my men?". If there is any good in this atleast he is going to get to come home, he will be able to see his baby(of witch he has only seen pictures of). Please pray for him and his family, and rememeber how good we have it and how lucky we really are.

But I don't want to listen
Strap me down and tell me
I'll be alright
I can feel the subliminal need
To be one with the voice
And make everything alright

For anyone that may want to know, Jay's surgery was a complete success and he is coming home.  Thanks for the prayers.

When you see Jay, please thank him for his service, and wish him a speedy recovery. Thank God that men like him are willing to stand up.

My son has just completed the physical, and is waiting for some kind of paperwork. If he's accepted, he's going in, and volunteering for Iraq. He's doing so, as he says, so that "the guys with the kids can come home".
