Excuses vs reality Pt 2
« on: May 10, 2013, 07:39:23 AM »
Well, this year they decided to change patterns every week, so that kinda screwed this pooch.  It was WTBA Sidney, which I think is a far easier pattern than Paris, though it's more risk/reward.  I think you have more room on Paris and can hit it from more angles, but Sidney has a more defined play area.  No bad pinspots this week!  The pair we were on never has spot problems though, so it was nice to come in and see I was on it.  619, and I was even on breaks, left 2 10s I thought I should have carried, but tripped 2 4s I shouldn't have.  I did miss a couple single pin spares and made some really bad shots.  Last week it was the pinspots, this week it was me.  I couldn't get myself to concentrate after the first game, I had some bad counts on 10th frame fill balls, I only left 1 split, but I left 30-40 pins out there, and I threw a lot more bad shots than I'm used to.  I made a good ball change in the last game, but I only made a couple good shots with it, couldn't get comfortable for some reason.  Oh well, I guess we'll see what happens next week.  Still bummed it wasn't Paris again, I liked the format better last year because if you hadn't bowled on the particular shot before, you used the first week to kind of figure out what you were doing and it was always fun to come back the next week and see if you really figured it out or not.
What would you be if you were attached to another object by an inclined plane, wrapped helically around an axis?
