Explain to me how to read my span sheet
« on: June 04, 2005, 09:58:40 AM »
I would like to know how to read my span sheet . I was telling a friend of mine , I was selling one of my bowling balls . He asked me what was my span ? I am clueless . On my sheet do I tell one size and then the others size ?
Example: 4 9/16  4 12/16 let me know if this is correct .

Thank you

When you look at the drill sheet, there should be lines between two places (i.e. thumb and ring, thumb and middle), or maybe just a box right between the two holes. That is your span. It should say on there if that number is "true" or cut to cut (meaning edge of hole to edge of hole without accounting for the grips)
Likewise, you will see arrows pointing in each direction from each of your holes. These are the pitches. You have two for each, either forward or reverse (or zero), and left or right lateral. Hope this was some help.
