Title: EXTREME Wet Dry!
Post by: EFFEN 10 on November 27, 2005, 10:03:57 AM
Just finished my Sunday A.M. league and scored bad.
12 board to gutter was dry,12 to 12 very wet.Playing
the dry, ball went thru the nose.Moved into the oil,
no carry. Left flat 10's,soft 7's. Anyone have an idea
about how to best attack this type of shot?

Hard and fast off the corner with plastic...

I would have tried very low ball rotation using a weak drilled ball playing tight. 20-10 with medium speed. If that didnt work then plastic ball down and in.

The usual wet dry shot is 8 board to gutter. At least thats the usual wet/dry house shot near me. I like to amaze the locals by playing deep having the ball travel over many boards. Takes skill and accuracy to string 6+ in a row. Too fast or ease up on the shot and its either gonna hit light or nose the pocket. Get it in the dry too early and its either gonna nose the pocket or go brooklyn totally. I have fun with that shot.
