Extremely Hard Decision to be Made
« on: March 07, 2009, 07:51:41 AM »
My spare game's really going down hill, I have no plastic ball(arsenal in profile), and I have a 2nd Drill Morich Awesome Flip that i bought got for free and payed $20 to plug and redrill it, my friend wants to buy it from me for $120, which seems phenomenal, but that Awesome Flip has really, really, been working for me(shot at 2 300s in the last week), but should I sell my 2nd drill Awesome Flip for $120 and could buy a spare ball and more, or keep the ball and try working on my spare game with my reactives until i have $40 for a plastic.

This seems to be a hard decision for me can anyone help?

I agree with what 4PinHatesMe said.

What you did to your friend was uncalled for, dishonest and flat out a dick move.  The worst part is that you don't see anything wrong with what you did.

Yeah, you might be $160 richer, but you are poorer when it comes to morals and ethics.

I doubt you have a shred of a chance of ever making a deal for a ball on here, after what you have said in this thread.

I do hope you change as your get older and mature...otherwise you are gonna make a wonderful politician.

As a youth coach, I can tell you that I see a LOT of 13 year olds and not ONE of them would call themselves a "tweener."

I'm with Cobalt.  I smell a troll.

I probably should reserve judgement but I agree with LuvThatWhiteDot, I don't think i've seen a 13 year old that has shot 2 300 games in a week and that has a rev rate that high. I guess it could happen but i've came across a ton of people and never seen that.

I just have this feeling the OP is exaggerating and probably flat out lying. We have seen it so many times with the young kids on here that have to post their BS internet scores and greatness, its ignorant and happens way to often. Most of us here are honest and we aren't going to bash you for showing your true average and stats, we are here to help not to kiss your butt because you are supposable the next Wes Malott or Chris Barnes.

Ryan,
I'm not here to flame you, it's terry from Tempe we did like 5 jbts together, but to tell the truth, it was a dickish move, and you should give your friend back the money because that's what's morally right, i shall make some biblical references, "treat others as you would like to be treated". But don't give up on this forum, as God has done to us, we can also forgive, every one makes mistakes dude.

Everyone Else,
I've known this guy for at least a year, he's really a nice kid, and he's as tall as me, and i'm 5'9" and 4 years older than him(short, i know) But he does really rev up the ball as he proclaims, and to those who doubt that i've bowled many tournaments with him. he made a mistake, so what, i have room in my heart to forgive and forget. if i was in this position, if the other person wasn't my friend, i would sell the ball to make a profit.

When I first entered this thread, I had a bit of concern for you. I read through your problem and was considering DONATING an old plastic ball I no longer used, just so you would have one for your spares.

As I continued to read through it, I began to see a person who has little regard for honesty, fairness, or his friends. Then, I actually saw someone who was so greedy as to blatantly lie to a "so called" friend in order to screw his friend out of more money.

As a result of this, I am no longer willing to DONATE a plastic ball to you, I will however sell you one.  It is a 15lb Whitedot, single drill, scuffed with a scotchbrite.  Pic: http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll5/juggernaut_too/Bowling%20balls/Whitedotlabel.jpg

I'm only asking $120 + shipping.  Should sound pretty fair to you, so I'll be expecting some money soon, THANKS!

i dont see what was wrong with the original deal. his friend got scammed. he should have known better, a 2-3 year old ball that would be on its 3rd drill for 160? cmon you gotta be smarter than that. its all apart of the world, survival of the fittest. i would have kept the money and given it back if the friend asked for it. it was a smart business decision for ryan to make that deal. morals and ethics mean nothing in this country anymore. you have to forgo them to make it in this world.

btw i was averaging 180 when i was in 8th grade with almost as many revs. its not hard especially on todays house shots

You wouldn't be interested in a 15lb whitedot, would you?
