A New Level
« on: June 23, 2007, 10:06:23 AM »
I just wanted to share with all my BR Family.  I passed my Bronze Level Coaching Certification class.  It was a great experience, especially the hands on experience.

The test was a challenge 45 multiple choice questions (15 in each of 3 areas Equipment - Physical Game - Non-Sport Specific) and 12 True/False Questions (4 in each of the 3 areas).  You had to get 80% or better in each area to pass.  I had 95% Equipment, 85% Physical Game and 100% Non-Sport Specific.

My first phone call, less than 5 minutes after leaving the room, was to my coach who encouraged me to get back into coaching.  He has also provided me with a lot of information that helped prepare me for this level, even though I didn't realize it at the time.

edited to correct scores, I actually did better than I thought I would on the equipment section!

Thank you!  I am very proud and excited.  The only down side is being in Vegas there was no one to celebrate with  It will wait until Reno Tuesday when I can celebrate with my teammates!

Can always find someone to celebrate with in VEGAS. Just remember, what happens there stays there. LOL   Congrats though. I have been looking to get certified. You might have given me the little push that I needed to do it...

I actually did get to celebrate in Vegas, my coach took me to dinner Sunday.  We went to Lupa in Mandalay Bay and had some great Italian food.  As for the "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" they have a commercial for Hollywood Park or something like that, I think where this girl jumps the guy in front of his girl with the slogan "What happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas"

That is very cool!  As a coach, I believe in coaching bowlers and inspiring new members into the ranks of coaches.  There is a need for coaches, especiall when it comes to our youth programs.
