Another bowling center turning into dust. Royal Pin has decided to close the doors after 67 years of business and more than a lifetime of memories. For those of you who do not know, May 4th will be the last day for the 4th oldest bowing center in the nation. Free bowling and free shoe rental to all who come on the last day.

Please feel for us who must change lifestyles due to this sudden change. I know I am moving back to Muncie, a few are forced into retirement (including Charlie Sauter who has worked there from the center's opening), and a few others who Royal Pin cannot send to other centers are moving away also.
Thank you for all your support.

It's a shame, too! Also, with this closing, comes the closing of one of the best pro shops in Indy (at least from what I've seen). Steve at Bowler's Sport Shoppe has worked with me several times and has always taken the time to explain things to me. Good 'ol Royal Pin! They closed down my old house from when I was a kid (Lynhurst Bowl) and now they're at it again! I hope everyone from Sport Bowl finds work elsewhere. Best of luck to everyone...
