Farmingdale Lanes
« on: February 17, 2009, 10:59:00 AM »
Anyone out there bowl @ Farmingdale Lanes? I bowl majority of my time there and its always my lowest house. Anywhere else on the island, i'm a good 20 pins higher. Im usually around 200 at Farmingdale and near 220 everywhere else. Probly cuz everywhere else is AMF and Farmingdale is the only Brunswick pro anvil lanes on the island (and Coram).
Better Lucky than good.

I've been checking out some of the scores from that house and yes, they are low for this area. I've only practiced there when the new lanes were installed and the shot is tough.

I think is has to do more with the shot the house lays out more than the lane surface.

I have always scored significantly lower at Farmingdale.

Now granted the only time I usually bowl there is for Tournaments on modified shots or PBA/Junior Gold sport shots, its a little hard to say what how I normally would score.

A few times I have bowled there on a THS and have scored decent, but they are just hard to score. I do not know why but I claim its due to the Brunswick lane being much more hard than the synthetic that is used by AMF, which is most of Long Island.

Well I have never been there on a THS, i Bowled there twice for an LIYBT, once on a generic sport shot and once on the Viper, but I can tell you even on a sport pattern, this house played harder than usual.

The Viper at Farmingdale was vastly different from the Viper at my local house.
