Some of the older ones, if there isn't just one ball then I'm sure you'd

Gotta be a Columbia Yellow Dot. I had a 9R series piece. The Yellow Dot and an LT-48 was all you needed to use almost anywhere. Of course, we're talking about bowling on wood lanes back in that era.
It didn't have a bleeder cover but, man, that ball helped me get through school! I could play anywhere on the lane. My favorite shot was playing between the second and third arrow.

Man, I'm old enough to start with the plastic era. That makes me sad for some reason. lol In any case, here goes:
Plastic: C300 Yellow Dot (At the time, I actually thought that ball hooked!)
Urethane: Faball Dull Blue Hammer
Resin: Hammer Black Widow - I threw my only 800 the first three league games out of the box with that beast. Man, I had the world that night!
Particle: Visionary Granite Gargoyle - If you threw it in box finish, it could chew through an oil slick for you. If you polished it up, which wasn't an easy task, it actually got some length and offered decent recovery. Plus, the hitting power was pretty sick on that one.
Those are my choices if I have to go with just one for each category. Of course, I could probably break it down by solids, pearls, hybrids, 1990s, 2000s, 2010s, etc. I've owned over 200 balls, so I have plenty of others to mention! lol

Plastic: Clear Wolf (still using this as a spare ball and burnt lane ball today)
Urethane: Black Hammer (First 300 and First 800 with this ball)
Resin: HyRoad - All time favorite (still love this ball, highest series with this ball)
Particle: Oracle Vision (not fond of Particle balls, but this one worked well for me)
Overall the HyRoad is my favorite ball, shot many 300's and 800's with this ball and it seemed to work on a many conditions.

well back in the day it was the L T 48 Blocked letters soaked in acitone over night to help softin it up even more LOL mid 80's Id have to say the the Rhino's 90's Id say the Dz2 early 2000's id have to say Morich and Dyno Thane equipment. 2008 would be the S-70 Break Pearl ( one of my favorite balls still today ) 2013 would have to be the Network hands down so far but this years not over and there are still a few more news balls to come out before years end :) the 1st 3 games out with the Newtork was 300 300 275 clean started with the front 33 strikes with it till i got lazy and threw the 1st ball in the 1oth frame to slow and left a 3 4 6 7 split I spared and then left a solid 8 pin on my last ball. that ball does the talking for me with out a doubt. way to go 900 Global ^5

Man, i love this question! My favorite used to be the Insite Almighty, but that has now turned into number 2. My favorite ball now is the Brunswick Mystic Aura. I picked up that ball late last league season and man did that thing turn my game around!!!! My confidence is up, my scores are up and i have been having alot of fun bowling as of late! The last week of league last season that ball helped me produce my only 800 series! This past week I had another shot at 800 but i choked!
