Favorite Balls of 2009
« on: December 24, 2009, 11:50:49 AM »
Ok, with the year about to close just wanted to see what balls everyone has liked the most this year.  Tell me your favorite solid covered ball, favorite pearl ball, and favorite all around ball. Thanks to everyone for your comments and have a Merry Christmas.

Easy for me. Rogue Cell. Drilled two 2, multiple honor scores and Arizona Scratch Bowling Association Singles Win. Great ball.

For me I liked:

Mega Friction
Onyx Vibe

If we are talking older pieces that I used in 2009 then:

Gamebreaker
Blue Vibe

All surfaces, all layouts work for me on these 4.

A half ten is not a great shot.  No, you shouldn't have carried it.

It's pretty much a toss up right now between The Villain and The Clutch. Since I threw some Beans Sauce on the Clutch, it's been such an even, versitile ball.  Since I can only pick one it would be
The Clutch.

For pearls, I still say the Banger Hole Pounder Pearl is still my favorite.

Solid: Virtual Gravity
Pearl: Kinetic Pearl (I know, it''s an older ball, but I still love it!)

Don''t have an overall favorite just - whichever one matches up best on whichever USBC pattern that is put down on given night.

From how it was explained to me from a staff member its a solid with mika flake added.

...mine never rolled like a solid, and certainly not one with some kind of particle. That being said,

favorite solid - well, I didn't really buy a solid I liked this year
favorite pearl - only pearl that has done anything for me this year is my old Big Hit. certainly not a 2009 ball
favorite all-around - Hy-Road, hands down.

Can't say enough about how good the Reign is when there's any friction out there.
