The Big Lebowski isn't a bowling movie, it's a movie that just happens to be mostly set in a bowling alley.  However, it is also one of the funniest movies you'll ever see, so it gets my vote!

As other people have said, maybe it isn't exactly a bowling movie, but definately The Big Lebowski. When Donny leaves that 8pin at the end, you just know something bad is gonna happen.

Love Kingpin, yes they didn't neccesarily portray bowling in its most favourable light, but some classic scenes  (When big Ern says 186, you lost to a club player" .

Big Lebowski is truly a brilliant Coen brother's movie, not really a bowling movie, but each scene when viewed more than once is hilarious.. Love Walter, "Fluck it Dude, lets go bowling!", I think though with the Big Leb, they show the love of league bowling.. When Walter screams out "Over the line... Mark it zero Dude, next frame".. Brilliant scene... At the end of the day, the Dude reall only wants to bowl and take it easy, man I wish my life could be a simple as his, although it does get a little chaotic due to his rug lol!!!..Love the fact that the Dude just loves bowling, even listening to casette audio recordings of league bowling at home...  If u haven't seen either of these movies definately worth seeing...There are so many great scenes in this movie.

Trying to get Dreamer on a torrent site, but almot impossible to get..

Has to be Kingpin with the Big Lebowski a close second. Just doesn't get funnier than Roy with his landlady and Big Ern's hair in the final match.

In my opinion, there has never been a first-class movie about bowling, but I respect other opinions on the subject.

I haven't seen it yet...but it was filmed at the bowling center in my town. Just really like the title.

Brian have you seen Dreamer?

No, didn't that come out in the early 80's? I've heard about it but never seen it. I remember my parents saying it was a good movie but that was in the 80's when they said that. In other words, what was cool in the 80's is not necessarily cool now.

Might I add there was a new bowling movie that I heard was so bad it came out in 2007 and I think it went straight to video. It was called "7-10 Split". So by the title you can tell it's going to be lame. Here's the imdb link:

Just watched Strike recently.  I have to say this movie has to be more damaging to the sport of bowling than any other movie I have seen.
Current Equipment
Alpha Jackal
Jackal Flash
