In honor of "Karate Kid" when we have a good messenger the team yells "sweep the leg."

Dollars for hangers on our team if you get hung we yell "put a dollar in the box" with a accent like Cartman from South Park.

I went to visit a friend bowling in another house last night and ended up subbing for a spot on his team, asked if I would consider joining for the remainder of the year at the end of the night.

Anyway, guy on the pair to my left was hitting pocket fairly well all night but could not carry all 10. After his 3rd straight 10 pin in game 1 one of his team mates yelled out "Wanna borrow my wifes purse for your next shot? Guarantee you it'll carry all ten!"

Another guy at high end of the lanes carries a 221 average was on pace for his 6th 800 series this season. Needed the strike in the 9th to lock up 800+ steps up and tosses the shot, looks damn good from my angle, crushed the pocket and after the dust settled 7-10 standing.

Guy from behind the bar yells out, "Next time hit your mark moron!!" Could be joking or totally serious not sure.

OH! and the guys that buy a new hook-in-a-box and complain that it doesn't hook as much as their Tropical Heats saying "this ball's a piece-a-sh**. Don't hook at all!"

 Got a friend of mine who has been bowling for a LOOOOOONG time. If someone sticks a solid 8, a solid 9, or a tenpin when they really seem to have thrown an excellent shot, he will tell them "That's alright kid, this house ain't ready for you yet".

 Something from the old days-- "No drive, no FIVE!"-- Used when a 5 pin was left standing on a weak shot.

 When someone chops a single pin off a multi-pin spare shot for an open-- "Nice chop, Lumberjack!"
