My every other week Sunday Night League meeting was last night. 

They changed the handicap from 90% of 210, to 100% of the team difference in average.  WOW. Talk about catering to the weak... (My team will benefit from this, but I don't really agree with it)

Changed from a 2/2 split of a mixed league to 2/2 or 3/1 mixed.  This is good, will make it easier to get people involved.

Raised our lineage to $13! (Cheapest league I've been apart of in a long time)

I made a proposal to the 50/50 drawings.  Instead of putting the other half into the prize fund, put it aside, and save the tickets that didn't win.  Put random amounts of money in envelopes at the end of the year and draw out of the losers to win the envelopes.  Most liked it, but there was one guy that said, if you bought 17 tickets in the course of the season, you could get drawn all night....  really?   50/50's are effing gambling!  chances.  The more tickets you buy, dude, the more chances you have of winning on not only the original night of the ticket purchase, but at the end too..... people.

I like your 50/50 suggestion. I've only been in one league that used it, and it was extremely popular there.

Yeah, I don't like the handicap thing.  Gives the lower average bowler no reason to improve, and the higher average bowler gets nothing for their practice and effort.  Plus it's a lot easier for a 230 average bowler to fall to 200 than it is for a 160 average bowler to fall to 130. 

our 50/50 money goes into a pot. At the end of the year everyone who participated at least 50% of the time is eligible. The Money is divided up into &20,$30,& $50.00 envelopes. Each person is given a ticket. Those who are drawn come up and pick a random envelope till all are drawn
