Star Wars in the PBA

Take a look at the entries for the PTQ in Denver.  You'll find someone from Colorado named Luke Skywalker.

I'd find it highly doubtful that his name was given to him by his parents...  It's likely just a Star Wars junkie that took things a step further than most sane individuals would.

J Mac, I's sort of with you on this.  BUT, if you look at the timing it could be.  First SW movie came out in, what, '79 or so?  So a family named Skywalker (and in COlorado I'd think that might be a possible name) could have seen the movie, been impressed and, bingo we now have a 25 year old Luke Skywalker.  But I would have changed my name if I were him.

I'm 25...  the last of 6, my parents wanted a short name so I ended up with Jon.  Thank goodness my parents weren't Sci Fi freaks.

My first name's just Luke, and I still get it all the time.  My baby shower cards were all addressed to "Master Luke."  Born right around Empire Strikes Back, and the movies didn't even have anything to do with the choice for my name!

Someone needs to tell Luke to use the "force"!  He's already -19 after 2.

But he's improving - he was minus 39 after one.

Damn, I wouldn't want to embarass myself averaging 158 or less in any tournament with my inconsistency. Hell I wouldn't even enter that 8(?) game tourney next Saturday at Carolier but I would love to practice on the shot...

Ah, yes.  Another house hero bites it after experiencing what real lane conditions are like.

Gotta love a big-time reality check.
