A pretty incredible night-highest handicap series i've ever seen
« on: February 14, 2014, 04:24:45 PM »
Last night in our league, 5 man handicap

we shot 3907.  Previous league high was 3720.

Obviously a lot of luck involved, but to see 3900 was pretty insane.  we had to take a picture of the final screen shot to remember for next week when we shoot 3100 :)

we went 27-1 on the night too!

1 guy with 170 average shot 702
1 guy with 188 average shot 709
1 guy with 190 average shot 680

i've never seen anything that high-has anyone else?

For some reason I get pissed when a 170 avg bowler throws a 700.  I've been averaging pretty consistently over 190 for 5 years and have only sniffed a 700 once with a 692.  Frustrating...

Anyway, awesome bowling!

We had a guy in our league last night shoot 689 with a 179 average for a total of 872 with handicap and that's not even high for the year.  Our current handicap individual series is 917 and our team handicap series was done by my team for 4049.  We use 100% of 240.  Our team has a total average of just under 1100 for five guys.

Yeah it's tough some night for the high average guys.  And they want to raise it again to 250 because 1 bowler out of 80 averages oper the 240 base.

its not a "series" per say, but two weeks ago I saw a pretty epic match.

Guy on left lane was getting like 46 pins per game, guy on right lane was getting 63 (all numbers are approximate, not actual numbers)-- but you get the idea.

Anyway, final score?

Left Lane guy--300

Right Lane guy--301

Left lane guy needed the 2nd on in the tenth to win, he got 9/

Guy on right lane needed to get 2 out of the 3 he left on the second shot in the tenth (righty, he left the bucket on the left)...... he got all 3 to win by a single pin.

Fun to watch, but reminded me why I hate bowling against handicap scores......
