Actually, this means that the bowler's backswing and forward swing are not on the same line thus making a figure 8 from beginning to end of the swing. This is like pro golfer Jim Furik's swing. This is not recommended by coaches because it is difficult to line up your shot when the forward swing is not in line with the back swing. However, using this technique, Jim Furik is still one of the best golfers in the world. The important thing is to be able to repeat your swing.
