Does color matter to you?

No, you racists!

Anyways.. Does the color of your bowling ball effect your perception of how good it is? In my opinion, it's a definite yes. If I don't like how it looks going down the lane, I can't bowl with it. That might sound a bit snotty, but, I could give less of a half of a Twix.

Remember the Killer Instinct and Primal Instinct by Ebonite? Those balls were horrid to look at down the lane.

I thought of the other two ugly ones from above
Brunswick Edge - bright red - not the more current version
Ebonite Crush R

I dont think it is necesarily that we rely on the color for performance but I know just by going and getting balls I thought might work and what not almost every ball has some purple or similar shade and not many at all have red if any do besides the color of the pin. I can go into the store looking for say an nsane levry and come out with say an awesome flip or other ball for the same job. Also the color can be the deciding factor between say 2 similar performing balls.

Obviously I'm not too concerned about colors or appearance if I was willing to throw this.

I don't care about how the colors look going down the lane.  I have two different colored Vise interchangeable thumb slugs, the tighter slug is yellow, the looser one is black.  Obviously I can see the yellow thumb rotating very easily, and I can't see the black one at all.  And I don't care.  I don't pay attention to that at all.

Hmmm, I kinda like the way that ball looks, but then, I used to throw the bone AMF XS (great ball for me), so what do I know?

Color matters when choosing a White Dot and no so much with the strike ball.

My Special Agent is dark blue/purple and I dropped in black inserts and a slug so you really can't see what's happening until it turns to the pocket.  It drives my teammates mad

I must agree some of the ugliest balls have excellent reactions:
i.e.=Kinetic Pearl & the tantrum> They are both excellent versatile pieces.
