Turtle Wax!

A guy who I've bowled with in a local nice shot league is now switched over to a highly reactive local house(severe over under!).

He is taming the shot and making it look easy.  I asked his secret of such a smooth reaction on the synthetic highly reactive shot!  

He replied...."My own spinner and Turtle wax!"

Your thoughts??

I remember my brother using that on plastic balls years ago. Gets the ball nice and shiny as well.

Have known a couple of bowlers who liked to use Nu Finish as polish of choice. Double "Arrrgh!"

yeah I threw it at a place I knew stripped before every league so I was able to use it.. it stored a lot of energy.

95% of the time, awful idea, but the other 5% of the time, it actually is a good fit.  No matter how "bad" something is in bowling, it seems like there always is some legitimate use for it.  I like the way Jeff put it though:  "Even a blind squirrel can sometimes find a nut."

I currently am using Turtle wax as well in one of my toughest leagues. I am only averaging 176 in this league. We usually see spotty conditions, dry conditions, or drier conditions, in that order.

The TW is at least allowing me to get to the pocket consistently to get decent pin action. Yes......it does work!
