I dont know a whole lot about PAP and that stuff yet, still confusing to me. I found my PAP and measured it today. Its about 5 3/4 over and about 3/4 up. Is that normal? Im still curious as to learn more about it, cuz it confuses me. I know what it is and all, but, thats all I know.

And why would I "saw" pins in half, THATS A WASTE OF PINS!

Depends on how you want to define normal.

Seriously, your PAP coordinates sound fairly typical for a tweener or power tweener with a moderately high track. My coordinates used to be close to that (5 3/8" over, 1/2" up) back when I was younger and turned the ball more.
-
actually quite the opposite. I track close to my fingers, like less then half an inch away, and like 3-4 inches from my thumb. Almost a spinner track. I will trace it in grease pencil and take a pic one day.

i'm confused, arrange these names from least rev's to most:
stroker, power stroker, cranker, tweener, power tweener
my guess is tweener, power tweener, stroker, power stroker, cranker?
also, what makes each group....each, how do you distinguish?
-
yea, stroker having the lowest revs, and cranker being the highest. HAHAHA....Robet Smith, your deffinitly right there.

Schlegel makes Traber look like Robert Smith.
But then again, he's always been in his own category: Yakker

how is it 3/4 up if you track closer to the fingers than the thumb?

no, not a spinner track........high inverted. ever had a pro coach video tape your release ?? that will be able to determine what you're doing at release and he/she will be able to tell you how to change it.........

Hey BK25,
If you're closer to fingers than thumb, you have what is called an inverted track like Jeff and Portside described. Your vertical offset should be down from your mid plane, not up. I also wouldn't describe it as high inverted if you're 3-4 inches away from your thumb.
If you tracked closer to thumb and not fingers, then your 3/4 up is an okay description. This is more the typical semi-roll.

Trace your track and compare to the pictures in this link and it'll help show you what your track is bud.

Hey DWilliamson,
I'm sorry, I'm confused. What is 3/4 away from thumb?
-
Oh I see, thanks but even if he meant 3/4 from thumb, he would still have an inverted high track(like Jeff said) which shouldn't have his vertical number of 3/4 up. It should be about 0 to slightly down.
Rick

You're correct, I am assuming his grip is standard but how irregular/offset would that grip have to be for him to be 3/4 up? Would a collier drill come close to that?

this explains a lot. If you look at that link, i have a cranker track, just a little farther from the thumb.
