Ok these maybe stupid questions but I am a newbie on some of this stuff. I just came back to bowling about 8 months ago after being off for about the last 15 years. I used to be a pretty good bowler about 175 average on very low scoring lanes back in the days before resin balls made everyone shoot 200. I will be joining my first leagues this summer and I am trying to get back into form.

I used a old blue hammer urethane ball for years but have changed to a seismic euphoria as my new ball and I'm trying to get understand the differences in ball paths between the blue hammer and my euphoria. With my hammer I was able to throw pretty much anywhere on the lanes except down the middle and do ok it preferred me at feet about 25 throwing out to about 12 at the arrows but I could move in or out at will pretty much. The euphoria seems like it is only happy at feet 27 and at 17 at the arrows if I try to move farther right and throw farther right the hook rolls out if I try to move farther inside I don't seem to get the ball to drift far enough out at the break point for it to move back in. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong.

I know some videos might help and I will try to post some after I bowl again. I would give more stats but I feel like they have changed with the new ball and I bowl mostly at an older center that doesn't give ball speed with my old ball I was about 14 to 14.5 mph and a 400 rpm but I feel like the speed is up but rotations are down. Just looking for some ideas not to solve all my problems and to get a better idea about ball paths with the resin balls. I am currently averaging about 175 with the new one pretty good considering I haven't purchased a spare ball yet and I have learned shooting spare is harder with the new one than it was the urethane hopefully next month on the spare ball

He's right.  If you have been away for that long, the game has changed so much in that time period, that it really isn't like it used to be.

 The physics of the game have changed, and some of the "old" ways that we learned back then, are totally obsolete now.

 A good coach can work wonders sometimes.
