What have you seen from a ball and layout standpoint be successful? Im deciding between a Pitch Black or Shout.

Wolf is my toughest pattern.  Urethane gives me my best look, but transitions are tough because carrydown is  such a killer on this pattern.

I was leaning towards the Shout because of the carry down factor.

There are lanes at the Pete I would rather bowl than Wolf.  Having had no success on Wolf, I can say that the ball almost seems to speed up right of 7 on Pro Anvil.  At Beverly with the hang already near the gutter, I'd say no Urethane.

All the short patterns usually end up playing further in than they should.

For Wolf I used a Desperado, backed my hand out and threw it a bit harder...good luck, it is terrifying

Heck, I wish they'd make Wolf the house shot at my house.  XXXL up the gutter all night.  One ball, very few adjustments.

I used my natural with not much success on the Wolf last season.  This year I have a blue hammer that has been very good for me.  I used it on Sydney, also a very short pattern, and shot extremely well last month, so I am almost looking forward to see how it would work on the Wolf.
