finger dancing
« on: February 07, 2005, 10:27:59 PM »
I have been using finger dancing (per ron
clifton's site)lately. I do get more backend
reaction by spreading by index finger, and
less reaction by spreading by little finger
which has helped me maintain the same line
for longer periods without moving. Tucking
the little finger seems to have no effect
on the reaction. Just wondering if you guys
and dolls use finger dancing, and if it
helps? Which position do you start with and
what are your most common finger(s) moves?

Thanks

I use it.  I had to re-learn the starting position since I had previously started with my fingers spread wider.  Now I will close the fingers up and spread the index finger wider to give me the reaction I need.  Dont really like the finger tuck.

I made up a Word document with the finger positions diagrammed for both left and right hand as a quick reference for me and my teammates.  If anyone wants a copy of it, PM me your email address.

To all who PM'd me.  I will send them out tonight.  Having problems trying to do this right now from this computer.

After I sent them to Jeff, it refuses to work properly now.

Send a copy my way too!  I'll post it on my website for all to see, if you don't mind.

Ok, sent copies to all who PM'd me and to tony.  If you did not get it, let me know.  Also if you can offer improvements on it.  I tried to keep it simple.

Again, this is based on Ron Clifton's tip, Finger Dancing, so all thanks to him for it.

Phil, sorry for hijacking your topic.  If you want, I can post this in another topic.

I was messing around last night in league trying a few new things too.  I used to have both index and pinky spread out.  I tried to pull in the pinky finger and I actually got the ball to go longer which is opposite of what the tip says.  Wonder why???
