finger grips

What type of finger grips does everyone like? Or none at all? Just wondering what everyone prefernces are.

I go with the Clear Turbo 2 in 1s, always the clear ones the colored ones don't feel the same and the VISE Grips are to soft for my taste.

I think I have the ovals from Turbo 2in1, but I can't honestly say I'd notice if I had any other kind of plain oval in there...

Absolutely.  I always use clear oval inserts.  I don't know which brand off the top of my head though.

Strange, I also like the clear Vise grips best. I cannot say what it is exactly, but I get a better feel with them, and try to use them since I got my first ball with the clear inserts

Vise Power Lifts

My first two pairs were clear, and my last three have been colored, and the clear ones are in fact softer.

No grips for me.  Have a more consistent release now.

None. Gave them up years ago and was the best bowling decision I've ever made. Once you start to figure it out which takes time to get used to if you've used grips in the past, you'll wonder why you ever used them.Besides the more consistent feel and release for most of the bowlers, the cost savings in buying and replacing them is also a bonus. I wouldn't even think about going back to grips.

I've been interested in trying to not use finger inserts, but I want to know what the benefits would be. Changing grips right now can get annoying, so can anyone tell if there really is a good reason to not use grips. Is it all just based a personal preference? thanks

Not every hand can handle no inserts, and not every hand benefits from inserts.  It's all personal preference.  Some from the older school look down on inserts, some think inserts are only for more lift, some hate the tacky feeling, some hate the rigidity of no inserts.

Try it and see.

I use Vise 7/8 ovals.  49/64 and 47/64.  They are smaller than the 31/32 ovals and you can feel the edge of the holes much better almost like no inserts.
