To help insure that your finger holes do not crack, may I make these suggestions regarding the drilling of finger holes ....
1. Drill each finger holes SLOWLY, S - L - O - W - L - Y!!!!, with VERY sharp bits. That means not fast.
2. Bevel each hole slightly before using or before putting in inserts.
3. Insure that the pin is a minimum of 3/4", preferably 1" away from the edge of any hole, be it finger, thumb or weight hole.
4. If necessary, drill the pin as dead center in the middle of the middle or the ring finger.
5. When gluing inserts into a drilled hole, use barely one TINY, I said TINY, miniscule even, drop of glue at either side or the top and bottom of each hole. No more, no less. One tiny drop of good glue is all it takes.
If you do all these conscientiously, you will greatly lessen the chance of a finger hole or any hole cracking. If you do all these haphazardly, you will GREATLY increase the possibility of grief and angst when the holes get cracks around and through them.
This applies to EVERY manufacturer's balls!
