If you increase forward pitch in your ball and you already have finger pain would the pain increase cause your fingers are bending more. Or is that something you can't determine.
If you don't know what's causing the pain in the first place, you can't exactly answer the question of whether changing pitches one way or the other would increase or decrease your pain.
You should go in and have your grip evaluated at the proshop, Have your spans, joint flexibility and pitches checked.
