my new spare ball drilling
« on: November 08, 2003, 07:20:18 PM »
After struggle for a few weeks with my 10 pin spares I decided to drill a new spare ball and see how I liked it.

I got my hands on a Sponge Bob ball in July, my daughter would not let me take it to drill though, so I had to sneak it out one day when she was at her grandmother's.

AND no, it is not 6lbs-------It was 15lbs 9oz before drilling.

I drilled it the way I have wanted to drill a spare ball for well over year. It is drilled with the ring finger and pinky only in the ball(and thumb).

I LOVE IT!!!

I get my normal speed, and only 1-3 revs down the lane. I just have to point it in the direction I want, and I am there. It comes off of my hand perfectly clean. AWESOME!!!!! I should have done it a year ago, and I might have won a little bit more money.

For me, I use my middle finger and thumb.  Works pretty good.
