my thumb
« on: November 20, 2008, 07:23:40 AM »
For years i have been bowling with my thumb hole slightly loose and didn't think much of it. I didn't really have a reason to change it because I was scoring well and shot my first sanctioned 300 doing so. Recently, I've been bowling like crap, so now I'm starting to think it's catching up with me. My thumb always looks terrible when compared to my friend's thumbs. I took my Kinetic Energy to my pro shop today and showed him my thumb and my recent problems of grabbing. He looked some things over and decided that he was going to take away some reverse in my thumb.
He made that decision because he said he wants my thumb to come out slower. Thoughts on all of this?

when you have reverse pitch your thumb will fall out sooner so you will feel like you needto grab it more, if its more forward pitch will stay on your thumb slightly longer. higher rev players use forward pitch to give their fingers a little extra time to come around the ball.
