First 300
« on: August 03, 2004, 07:45:13 AM »
I did it, after 8 years I did it.  Shot it with my Slate Blue Gargoyle drilled pin about ring and cg stacked under it.  The first 7 were perfect then I got scared, I saw a 10 pin stanging, then I called my huntin dog, ninth frame I hit a hair light and the 7 pin was the last to fall (almost did'nt) then I said ok not like last time (threw 9 in a row then left a 4 pin) and went up and flushed all three.

Congrats slipknot.  I had my first 300 when I was 15 in a high school league tournament.  I was also scared and pulled the heck out of it and it went brooklyn, after that though my other 3 which happened this past year (just turned 20) I flushed all of them and no more nerves that make me pull it!!!! hahahaha.

Congrats, getting a 300 is a good feeling. I have been bowling about a year and 3 months and hit my first 300 in head to head game with a friend. I threw the first shot badly and it hit brooklyn and carried, then i struck all the way out. I came close once again when I was in league. I threw 11 in a row and the last ball i swung it out too far and it came back and hit 8 pins and ended up with a 298. I was totally hurt. I let the nerves and thoughts get to me. My team helped me pick my face up and told me that I was doing great to just get that far for such a short time bowling. So dont let the time get you, its not easy to make a perfect game. If it were everyone would do it.

I think that 11th and 12th balls were the hardest shot of the game but turned out to be my best shots.  The hardest out of those two was the 11th, my knees were knocking on that shot then on twelve they were still shaking but not touching, lol.  That is only the second time I have entered the 10th frame with a chance to shoot 300 and the first time I was swinging the ball alot more than last night and got it out just a little early and left a 4 pin.  If there was a bad part of last night it was that I only had a 669 series.  I went 164 205 300 switched to my Slate Blue Gargoyle in the fifth frame of the second game and had all strikes the rest of the night except the first ball in the 10th and it was a solid 10, but competition wise it was the most fun game I had to fill 16 pins to win that game for my team and got 20 then the 300 happened.

Slipknot, I did almost the same thing last season.  I shot 204, 163, 300 for a 667.  Don't worry about the series too much because you were able to switch and make the right move for success.  It would be a different story if that was the first game and you went downhill.  I did that earlier this year also, 300, 207, 200 for 707.

Congratulations on a great score.  Using a Slate Blue Gargoyle, wow.  You must be very accurate or the lanes were toasty.

So, does Visionary move up a notch on your favorite company list in your profile?
