I was at the demo days for the Columbia 300 balls last night before league. The new Power Swing looks to be a great ball coming out. However I brought that and my Black Widow Pearl to shadow balls and the Widow looked pretty good to start league with. First game I threw the front 9, then tugged one and shot 278. Followed that game up with a 300. Continued with the front 4 and left a 6 pin. Struck and then went high again and went 4-4, finished with the last 5 for 245 and an 823.

Are you in the Mentor, Ohio area? I ask because I know they had a Columbia demo day at Scores yesterday.
Great set and congrats on the 800.

No offense, practice doesn't mean anything. I've shot many 300's and 800's in practice.....before I realized what practice is actually for. If you are worrying about your score while you practice, then you aren't practicing right. Sorry but that's the way it is. Practice is for fine tuning. It is was working on your game. It is for learning something new...how to play straight up the 1 board, or playing 6th arrow, etc. Score is the least important...actually score holds NO importance when it comes to practice.
Let us know when you do it for real, I will be the first in line to congratulate you, but this is just BS.
on edit: I know this may sound harsh, but it is a tough lesson that needs to be learned. I used to be the same way, I cared about shooting big scores in practice. It took my a long time to learn this lesson, maybe the harshness of my response will help you learn it much sooner then I did and make you better bowler in the long run.

Well, it was in league, and sanctioned.
2 rings in one night feels pretty good. I actually missed the pocket twice once the first ball in the tenth the first game, and the second was on the 4 split. Yeah, it was at Scores in Painesville.
And Mickey Higham learned me all about practice, haha.
Thanks everyone.

Good shooting, too bad a couple of people did not read the line "...the Black Widow looked pretty good to start league with..."
Too bad it's been edited from it's original format...and if you check the time, it was after the posts about it being practice were put up.....douchebag!
