First 800 series!

Today, I shot my first ever 800 series with an 802.  290, 277, 235. I used my old Hammer Black Widow Bite for all 3 games, the only adjustment I made was an increase in speed toward the end of the 3 game set. Strange thing is I've never shot 300 yet. Is this unusual?

Congratulations on your 802 series. 

I have heard of several other 800 series without a 300 game so it does happen.  Not sure of how often though.

Thank you. League and sanctioned, it just felt like everything was smooth, balance at the line, good follow through.

When I shot 300, I ended up at around 750 or so.  When I shot 800, I had no 300.

279-279-247

I was proud of the 279 - 279 start.

yeah I am the same way, have multiple 800's and all of them have no 300's in the series.

I have 4 800's and none of them have a 300 with them. I have 3 300's but never with 2 other big games...Nice Shooting by the way!

Congrats on your honor score I have shot 800 both ways 279-278-279-836 also 252-257-300-809, 258-258-299-805, (246-300-258-804 which was denied because we bowled unopposed that day).Also had another 805 do not remember exact scores but did not have 300 game with it.

Not too unusual at all, though it does make it a bit harder, haha.  Most of my 800s didn't involve a 300, and interestingly enough, my high set I had spares in the first frame of the first game, then spares in the first and second frames of the last two games, so I never even had a chance at one.

When i shot my first 800 i went 268 257 267 i have had 3 800's and still no 300 lol o well some day.

Just missed an 800 with a 796 this past weekend. Got scores of 278, 264, and 254, all games with a redrilled Roto Grip Bandit. I'll get it one of these days.
