Anyone who has had the First Blood for a while, how has the cover lasted? Still hooking well, or has it really diminished out? How long, how many games?

Not too good. It hooked a lot less than I thought it would to begin with, and got even lazier pretty quick. Not a fan.

Mine started out as a monster, and faded a bit, after a de oil and resurface it isn't the ball it was new but still is pretty strong.
I want to note though, I used it exclusively in two leagues a week for a full league season and summer league and some practice, so I have no doubt mine has 200 games on it and it is not dead, just not the same strength as out of box which is to be expected. I'd call it pretty good on durability especially compared to recent high end Utah stuff i've had.

I was mostly curious to how the cover stock is holding up due to it being used on the Assassin. I know of people that got various Widows after the Pearl, only to have a good for about 2 weeks, then essentially having to retire the ball. I had a BWP and it lasted forever, but heard EBI went through a stetch, like all of the manufactures, where the stuff didn't last

I can't resist commenting, but mine has been a complete disappointment. I agree 100% with Coach Hines. Less than expected at first, setting low expectations and failing to meet them.

I had no problem with the first blood. But then i
drilled up EBONITE PIVOT polished it MONSTER
ball both out of box finish & polished.
