Pro-am on the all exempt tour
« on: January 19, 2004, 11:54:39 PM »
Next year with the all exempt tour they are only going to have 64 entries in a tournament.

How many pro-am’s are they going to be able to have? This year they would regularly have a pool of over 100 pro’s to pick from. I wouldn’t think that they would want to use local qualifiers as pro’s so now you are down to 55 to 60 pros. I know that if I entered one I would be expecting to bowl with the top touring pro’s not the local amateur who happened to qualify.

It would seem they would have to hold fewer pro-am’s or more amateur’s would have to bowl on a pair with the pro.

I guess since there is no qualifying now they might have another day to hold pro-am’s so they could space them out. But it would seem the exempt tour will keep the pro’s busy.

Well, each pro might have to bowl more pro ams. I bet there are more entries, since the local "classic" pro am winner will get a spot in the tournament.

Of course, as I understand it, the guys won't have to be bowling as much qualifying, so maybe the pro ams are no hardship.
