Time for a world tour?
« on: April 20, 2004, 07:46:20 PM »
Bowling is one of the most participated sports around and yet lots of people sneer when we try to defend it as a "Sport". No one can tell me that us bowlers don't put as much effort into our game as golfers,Football ( Soccer for you guys across the pond )players, basket ball players or other sports where there are big bucks to be made.

The thing is ( You may or may not agree with this ) I think the one thing that could change this is if all the world organisations came together and had a go at trying to organise a "World" tour. I for one would pay to watch events on such a tour.Bowling has stars from all over the world the US,Asia,Europe,Africa everywhere. It really is a global sport and I think its about time someone got off thier backside to do something about it as bowling is one of the most popular and oldest sports in the world and its about time it had its well earned time in the spotlight......
I would have got away with it if it was not for those pesky kids (Behind my lane) and those blasted 10 pins.
