First set in a mens league...
« on: September 09, 2009, 03:30:43 AM »
After a long youth career I finally stepped up to the big boy leagues.

Throwing my new evolve I went 259 277 268 for 804. First sanctioned 800 and my dad was there to see it.

Threw the ball great all night AND carried! Mix 7 and flat 10 were my only taps both in the first game. Second game yanked one for a 3-6-10. Third game went 2-8 double 2-8 then sheet.

Love the evolve it keeps the pins low on light hits and doesnt drive past the 9 pin on high flush hits.

Hopefully more to come!

my first set as an adult happened a couple weeks ago. first game i go mixer 10 ringing 7 sheet for 279 then 180 157. lanes transitioned really weird. when i moved in a plaqued 7s like it was my job and when i moved straighter it checked early. throw a couple of splits in there and i was done

Oh the wonders or lane transition... somedays it's so easy but others it's a complete pain in the butt. I've been there many times.

Cheech I noticed your odd 603 and you are not alone. For my first 300 game I put a 173 and a 147 in front of it for a 620 series

Nice start to the season there kid.

I don't have any honor score's from my youth leauge's or adult leauge's. Going on my 21st year of bowling and I don't have any care in the world to have an 800 series or a 299/300 game. With the way the USBC is in the adult leauge's for award's, It's not worth it to pay sanction fee's anymore. Pretty much paying $18 (the local fee's in my area), to have a sanctioned average for tournament's. USBC keep's up at this pace, there won't be a sactioning body in a few year's. People won't keep dealing with the BS for paying more and getting less and less every year.

He's not blaming USBC for not having any honor scores... he said he doesn't have any care in obtaining any.

First off good shooting Fuller300. I hope to one day join the 800 club.

Now for you BrunsMike. You might think different if someone walked away with your prize fund. That to me makes paying sanction fees worth it all by itself.

It's already happened in a USBC sanctioned leauge 6 year's ago. A group of us did all we could and all we got was a slap in the face with a response of "Well then you shouldn't of had him in the treasury position."

I am not blaming the USBC for not having any honor award's, how would that keep me from doing so if it does finally happen after 20 year's?? I'm not a great bowler, just a mediocre bowler who barely average's 200 on a house shot. On a sport shot I might no average better then 170 but I'm at least out there trying to make the proper adjustment's. I only blame myself for it but I stopped caring about honor award's about 5 year's ago.

Anyway, sorry to high jack your thread Fuller300. My post was not at all meant to do what it did. Congrat's on the 800 set, hope you have many more to come in your bowling career whether it be in leauge's or tournament's.
