Fixing Foot work
« on: January 28, 2014, 05:36:33 AM »
I was made aware of being too fast with my feet by a couple of people, but never had a chance to have either of the do a "coaching session" to help me, as they live 3 hours away.  While talking to one of them on the phone, apparently something clicked in the head, and last week Monday I began being aware of my feet.  Thought I had figured it out some, but was only the just starting, shot a 662.  Last night I think I can say I may have felt what I needed to with the feet towards the end of game 2.  I was able to actually feel the push off, felt myself slower in the first part of the approach, and finished the night with a 255 to save a 620.  My footwork work is not complete, but I may be on to something, and if I am, look out Monday league!

I'm glad you have it somewhat worked out. Seems you were pushing off to fast causing a fast tempo. Was your timing really late?

Timing to the line erratic,  like I was racing the ball vs the feet causing a tug/push scenario.  I have a 5 that approach with a baby slide step for the first step, been running instead of walking with a firm push off
