So what's better???
« on: June 11, 2010, 07:49:07 AM »
I'm bowling on a tougher drier shot here. I'm thinking about drilling a Grenade, so I can control the dry better, been having lots of problems.

What would be better? Using a "Trick drill" on a more hooking ball or use a urethane like a Grenade. A little concerned about hit & carry.

I'm a high speed, medium rev lefty. Then again I can leave a flat 7 with any ball, any time if I don't throw it well, thanks

For a shot like this, I have a ball drilled pin over bridge cg on centerline of grip as it reduces the flare the ball makes and controls the hook spot better as the ball is not flaring radically.

I personally would think on waiting for the avalanche pearl urethane... It should push a hair further and a little more angle into the pocket then a normal urethane while still being controlled and consistant....

you might want to look into a "red backlash" by hammer..

If you mean dry all the way, I prefer a weakly drilled resin ball.  If it's decent head oil and really toasty back ends, go with urethane.

No one can give an appropriate answer unless you tell us what you're using now and how it's not working for you. You made need just a different surface or drilling OR you may need a Grenade, but who knows?

We can't tell you which "road" to take unless we know where you are now!
It's like calling up AAA and telling them you need to get to Sheboygan but not telling them what city and what intersection you're on now.
