Online League
« on: August 12, 2004, 07:53:17 PM »
How many bowlers would be interested in forming an online league that costs no money, just for world-wide internet bragging rights?  I may need to fill a few spots this fall (the league starts after Labor Day).

You mean, like the old FBL, but without a prize fund?

Where do I sign up?

Message on your link says the league is full.  As The Curse of Dusty asked, where do you sign up?

The current round which is posted there is full.  I'm taking new bowlers to help fill out some spots for people who aren't returning for the fall version, scheduled to start a week or two after Labor Day.

The league is free.  I do it as a labor of love (and I was quoted as such in the current issue of American Bowler, lol).  Our league weeks run Sunday to Saturday, and you choose one league to submit scores.  The teams are stacked according to average, and no spouses are allowed to bowl with each other. (This is also good practice for me to keep my secretary software skills sharp)

Part of the deal with this is you'll be joining a mailing list.  Most bowlers drop the list a quick note on how they bowled, what line they used, what ball, etc.  I don't allow spammers or jokes to be sent to the list -- that's the fastest way to get removed from the league because the list is for bowling only (and some trash talking by some of the bowlers who know each other well from bowling past ABC Tournaments).

If you're interested, I need a valid email address and current high yearbook average.  PM me if you want in.
