Spare ball - replacement?
« on: January 28, 2010, 03:18:40 AM »
Is their a set time that one should replace their spare ball? I know, obviously, performance doesn't matter, but perhaps when it gets too dull/tracked out?

once you have missed 3 spares in a row with it, throw it away
or give it to a youth bowler or what not, but get it out of your hand

otherwise can keep them till thumb cracks out, or to many nicks in your track area..

may want to re polish it every so often to make it feel new, if you've had it for awhile though

You can sand it and re-polish more than a few times, just like any other ball.

If you waited until it gets tracked out before re-polishing it, you will have already missed several spares because it hooked too much or unexpectedly.
