Try a slide sock. Almost guaranteed not to stick. Because you can take it on and off easily, it also works good when parts of the approach are sticky (edges for shooting corner pins, playing deep inside, etc) and other areas are not. Just put it on when shooting a 10 pin (RH)

I second the slide sock,it smoothes out the approaches.Try it for awhile in practice until you get the feel.

Just be very carefull with the slide sock. As already mentioned, take a few practice slides WITHOUT the ball to insure you do not slide too much.
You can also try Easy Slide. Put some on your shoe and then wipe it off with a towel. Remember, you can not get any on the approach. It is against USBC rules and also very dangerious for the other bowlers.

What type of bowling shoes do you use? If you use the old Linds Exxxtras or the newer 3G/Dynothane Ultra Tour's, you can use or make teflon pucks to give you more slide on the approach. If you own one of those pairs of shoes, I can give you more info.

I see several people wearing teh slide sock in my senior leagues. I've always wondered about one on myself, but since l only slide about 3", I've been afraid to try one for fear that I would slip and fall on my arse, especially since I have a balance problem at the line to begin with.

You can also use them upside down for a little less slide. They wear out faster that way, but are not expensive.

I have had 7 NEW teflon cleats on my soles and still stuck at the foul line. And not just the ones that came with the shoes. I have bought teflon circles from a teflon dealer and used those to make my own cleats/inserts, Still had to use Easy Slide, very judiciously and cautiously so as not to get the powder on the floor where anyone not sticking could get it on their soles. I rub it into the sole's raised fibers and then brush it off so nothing falls on the floor. I am much neater than many people who throw a pile of baby powder on the floor and shove their foot into it every frame. Yo can see the powder dust fly up into the air. I warn them that others may not be sticking and they could fall and seriously injury themselves. They look at me like I had horns growing out of my head,
