Pain in ring finger
« on: July 06, 2006, 04:36:14 PM »
Lately I have been experiencing pain in my ring finger after I am done bowling.  Does any one have any idea what could be causing this to happen?

THX,

Doug

Middle finger pitch: 3/8 in left and 1/4 in reverse
Ring finger pitch: 3/8 in right and 1/4 in reverse

Here are my current pitches.  You think I need more reverse in ring?

Also make sure you're not stretched out too far. I just went through a span reduction and my ring finger feels a lot better.

Yes, it's probably a pitch issue.  I have 1/4 rev in my middle and 1/2 in my ring.

It's also possible that your hole may not be drilled big enough or with enough bevel.  With my recently drilled Black Widow I decided to go a little bit smaller with the hole and less bevel and I have been experiencing some "discomfort" in the ring finger (I wouldn't necessarily call it pain b/c it goes away) but only in the tip of the finger.

Is your pain in the tip or is it throughout the finger?  I guess the better question would be does it feel like joint pain in your knuckle?  If so, then I would say it's definitely a pitch/span issue, if not, then maybe look at hole size and amount of bevel
